Hi, I'm Wendy! From a young age, I knew I wanted to work with animals. That passion led me to pursue a degree in Animal Biology at the University of Guelph, where I discovered the dynamic and rewarding role of a veterinary technician - part nurse, radiographer, lab tech, and anesthesiologist all in one! After earning my BSc, I went on to graduate with honours from the Veterinary Technology program at Georgian College in 2011. Shortly after, I became a Registered Veterinary Technician and have produly been a member of the Ontario Association of Veterinary Technicians (OAVT) ever since. Outside of PetNation, I love spending time with friends, family, and my 19 year-old geriatric cat, Dallas. I'm also an avid traveler and have backpacked through South America, Oceania, Asia and Europe. If you're ever looking for travel tips - I am always happy to share.
The PetNation Team
We are PetParents, veterinarians, nurses, engineers, entrepreneurs, and scientists - driven by a mission to ensure that every pet has access to the care they need, when they need it.
I came back to veterinary medicine for one reason - to launch a new type of pet healthcare: One that engages pet families as partners - not profit centres; and care teams as healthcare professionals - not skilled labour.
If you are passionate about contributing to a healthcare revolution where pets come first, and professionals thrive, please reach out for more information.
